General Introduction to Snow Flirt's Privacy Policy

SnowFlirt.com ("Snow Flirt") is dedicated to protecting the privacy of all personally identifiable information (PII) entered by users of the site. PII is defined as any information that allows an individual or group to be joined with their personal and contact details such as name, address, email address, booking details or phone numbers. 

The information that Snow Flirt collects and this 'Privacy Policy' are developed in accordance with the Privacy Act (1988).

There are two levels of PII that Snow Flirt is exposed to, firstly to that of the users of our site when they make a reservation or enquiry through the site, submit site content or sign up for our e-newsletter, the second level of PII information that we collect is from the advertisers and suppliers for SnowFlirt.com where we collect information necessary to conduct business. Information for Research & Reservation Users of the Snow Flirt Website

Firstly, it is important to note that this Privacy Policy relates only to PII that is collected and / or seen by Snow Flirt and Snow Flirt cannot and does not in any way shape or form have any control or responsibilty for PII submitted by you ("The Customer") to individual suppliers ("Suppliers") whom advertise on SnowFlirt.com. Information that The Customer submits to Suppliers through the Snow Flirt provided online reservation and enquiry forms is when submitted, delivered directly via email to the nominated Supplier(s).

With this in mind we have provided an opportunity for all accommodation advertising Suppliers within the SnowFlirt.com site to place a brief note about their individual 'Privacy Policy' as a component on their 'Display Ad' page for your reference.

What Information Does Snow Flirt Collect?

The Snow Flirt website only collects information required to allow us and the Suppliers that advertise on our website to complete business with you. In the event that you make a reservation or complete and submit an online enquiry form through the site various PII will be collected including; name, personal email address, personal phone number and in some cases an address, also the resort and specific details of your snow holiday will be entered by you and submitted to Suppliers that are independant of Snow Flirt.

In addition to this Snow Flirt through various pages and sections of our website invite you to sign up to our e-newsletter (distributed via email). The only information collected in order for you to sign up for this service is your name and email address. In the event that you nominate to be removed from this distribution list Snow Flirt does not keep your email address and name for any purpose.

How Does Snow Flirt Use Your Information?

If you choose to subscribe to our e-newsletter, Snow Flirt uses your PII in order to deliver you the latest ski scene news, events, snow reports and special deals through our e-newsletter if you .

In addition to this the 'Suppliers' who advertise on SnowFlirt.com will use the PII you submit to them to contact you in the process of confirming your booking or reservation or answering your enquiring.

If you choose to submit images to the "We're Snow Flirts" photo gallery then the image you submit plus either the family name, group name or first name you supply, plus the resort your image is taken at will appear publicly on the site.

Who Has Access to Snow Flirt Held PII?

The PII Snow Flirt holds about you is only accessible by senior managment at Snow Flirt and only those who directly require access to that information to undertake projects that are part of their job description and for the purpose(s) that are described above in the "How Does Snow Flirt Use Your Information?" section of this Privacy Policy.

How We Protect Your Information?

Your PII is protected in that Snow Flirt holds no PII once the specific task for which your information is being held has expired. The only information on consumers that Snow Flirt stores in general practise is the name and email address of people who have asked to be included in the Snow Flirt e-Newsletter distribution list and the submitted email that was supplied by site users who submit images and a name and resort to be included in the "We're Snow Flirts" photo gallery.

Information for Advertisers & Content Suppliers for the Snow Flirt Website

In most cases SnowFlirt.com allows advertisers to manage their own content on the Snow Flirt website through a login account. Advertisers are required to supply Snow Flirt with two types of PII;

Firstly the information required for us to conduct business with you including postal address, street address, management phone number, email address and name, these sre required to allow us to work with you to develop content and manage your ad and account(s) with Snow Flirt.

Secondly we require PII in order for site viewers to contact you as a direct result of your advertisement on SnowFlirt.com, this includes an address for your business, a reservations and enquiry phone number, a reservations and enquiry email address and in some case a reservations and enquiry fax number. This information is generally displayed publicly on the Snow Flirt website directly connected to your advertising material.

Through the advertiser self-management facility Snow Flirt leaves all responsibilty for advertisers and suppliers submitting the correct PII in the correct positions as the sole responsibility of the advertiser and recommends that if when creating or editing your ad content you are unsure of which details are displayed publicly on the site that you email the privacy officer prior to submitting.
