Closing day at Falls after what can only be described as an epic season. If you skied this year you already know that, if you didn't, well to bad. As you would expect its pretty sloppy out there but still lots of fun. Drovers and Towers offer excellent cover, as do Scotts and Ruined. Terrain parks are still in good shape to. Sad that we lost the summit for the last day as skyline virtually disappeared overnight, I was looking forward to some final runs on the summit finishing off with a few cans up top as the sun set to celebrate the 08 season. That's it for this year. hope summer is good to you, see ya.

Perisher is still open, last resort standing in NSW, as Thredbo shut its lifts yesterday. The cover is rain affected, thin and patchy with 3 lifts open on Front Valley, but no doubt there will be some die-hards out there this morning. The lifts will close tomorrow afternoon.

It is all over for 2008 as the lifts closed for skiing yesterday afternoon (although Kossie is open year round). It was a great season from July to the end of the first week in September, with epic conditions for 10 weeks straight, but then it all fell away except for the last day of true winter snow on Sept 16. Many locals are saying it was the quickest meltdown ever and with absolutely no snow in June it was a very short season...we'll just have to go OS for a few mid-summer turns! have a goods summer and see you next year. - Reggae Elliss
